Here we go a-wassailing among the...pumkins?

This Halloween was awesome! Corey and I took Iris to meet Crystal and her kids for some trick or treating. It was so fun to watch the kids getting a kick out of all the decorations and Crystal and I got to talk and catch up a bit as we were walking.
The kids and I got a little dose of Halloween tricks at one house: there was a note taped to the door. It was an apology saying that the home owners weren't there and asking trick or treaters to take a piece of candy from a dish sitting on a stuffed dummy. Crystal's boys and I were kinda crowded around the note trying to read it when the "dummy" sat straight up and handed us the bowl! I laughed so hard (after jumping about a foot)! We all got treats too, of course. There was a really cool lady at another house giving out some very much appreciated wassail. It not only tasted good but gave me a warm fuzzy that lasted till we all got indoors again. Wassail and candy corn go pretty well together, by the way :D!
So my favorite holiday has passed but I'm already looking forward to the christmas season. I don't mind the hustle and bustle and even though christmas is so commercialized it's still a familiar and comforting family event for me. Since I'm home now I'm hoping I might get a chance to paint a few christmas cards for friends and family. We'll see if that works out :). (I guess you'll know if you get a pretty un-Hallmark-like card in the mail!)
Till my next post, take care, and I'll type at cha later <3
